- Inelastic Analysis of Materials and Structures: -Propagation of elastic-plastic waves

- Analysis of quasistatic bifurcations and strain localization at finite strain of elastic-plastic solids

- Formulation and application of constitutive models for inelastic behaviour of materials with emphasis on cyclic loadings, thermal and geometrical effects

- Application of concepts of thermodynamics in the inelastic analysis of materials. Mechanics of Phase Transformations

- Theoretical analysis of transient and  residual stresses occurring during solidification and thermal hardening of metallic solids

- Formulation of the constitutive models that account for phase-transformation effects and kinetics of phase transformations in solids

 

11. Current Research Interests

- Strain-induced anisotropy under finite deformations of elastic-plastic solids and its connection with the formation of the texture

- Analysis of the rotational Bauschinger effects and its influence on strain localizations in metals and alloys

- Thermodynamics of Shape memory alloys
